Chronicling the lonesome and sorrow experience dating as a trans person can be, she discusses the inner turmoil she experiences in the early stages of forming a relationship. Wondering if someone is going to change their mind because they learn her body has "feathers," or in other words, if they learn she's trans.
Feathered Body blends certain R&B influences into the indie pop single.

40DAYS
After a 2-year long hiatus, Kid Keen released her 6th single 40DAYS, in May of 2024.
During her time away from music, Keen had embarked on a journey of introspection and self-reflection in which she had to overcome thoughts and feelings regarding her gender. She describes this experience as "extraordinarily lonely." It was a marked contrast to her previous work with the primary focus of the song being on herself and her inner monologue, compared to the more love inspired songs of her first five songs.
40DAYS embodies Keen's journey with "dreamy vocals" and a simple story about her first "40DAYS" questioning her gender. She talks about the darkness of her thoughts, and how she's settling into a routine that has no end in sight.
